Regional Development Australia Central West is committed to fostering cultural change to adapt to a changing environment.
Our committee aims to promote innovation and investment in new sustainable technologies across the variety of land uses in our region which include grazing, cropping, mining, viticulture and tourism.
We are aware of the many community groups and volunteer organisations working to improve soil health and increase vegetation, assist in grazing management and discuss the ongoing needs for rural mental health, and can assist these groups with relevant grant applications as they arise.
Several of the councils which govern the Local Government Areas in our region are also committed to ongoing work in environmental sustainability and leading regional achievements in environmental and social wellbeing.
A number of our committee members have been instrumental in forming strategic plans focussing local councils on management issues around water, waste, energy, biodiversity, pollution and salinity to maximise environmental outcomes for the region.
